Fuel the fire. I focused on some of XTC’s most upbeat tracks to energize their current fan base and potential new listeners. The idea of energy translated to sparks, flames, and fire - energy sources themselves. intense, dynamic visuals that are inspired by the band’s early music.
The goal of this project was to create a music album re-release for an artist of choice using analog media. The album would release an artist’s past songs in a new collection of music that is rebranded, with new packaging and a new album name.
XTC is an English rock band formed in Swindon in 1972.

I carved into candles and lit boxes of matches. A dripping wax effect was achieved with melting the wax with fire.
A pool of ‘wax’ was made with modeling material. Matches were also used for the album title. I used charcoal for the hand-written type for the track list on the back.
